Al Postman is a biracial human being, UCT Film and Media Production graduate, MC and presenter in the mother city, Cape Town.Born in an underprivileged community in East London, Al discovered his purpose and passion in life at the tender age of 11 years old when he was enrolled in a theater production called Jungle book at St Anne’s Primary School. Al made it his life’s mandate to pursue this very passion, in the form of MC'n, in an attempt to put a smile on every face he performed for and even in everyday social spaces. It's needless to say that some people found this rather abnormal and slightly disturbing. Awkward. After completing his sponsored school career at Selborne College, Al, with his mandate in mind, packed his bags and moved to Cape Town where he tried his luck at the entertainment industry.Through doing numerous events for a quarter chicken and chips and fine-tuning his gift by spending 4 months in a Japanese rain forest, Al’s ability to entertain, despite the nature of the event, proved to be unmatched in the corporate world. The movie, Gladiator, was loosely based on his life.
Today, his style of presentation has been described as a dangerous combination of humour, wit and a powerful stage presence that almost tests the boundaries of your comfort. These aspects of his performance opened several doors for him in the entertainment industry ranging from weddings, 21sts, activations and launches to award -winning entertainment shows and corporate functions for some of the most respected companies and brands in the country. Some of the brands he has represented include: Cell C, Samsung, SAB, Liberty, MTN, Calvin Klein, Ackermans, Foschini Group, Redbull, PVM, Metropolitan, Tropika, Mnet and many more.
With that being said, Al, in the midst of this journey, realized that anynone's dream can indeed become a reality with the right investment of time, energy and finance. Having overcome some trecherous obstacles in his own life, he can only relate to the very dreams that are at the centre of this organization; the dream of education and the doors that it can open. Al's involvement in EA is adjacent to his profession but in line with his life as an overcomer of circumstance by the power of dreams.

Fundraising & Events
My name is Michelle Diedericks and I am a wife and mother to 3 teenage sons.
When I’m not helping my husband lifting our sons to their after school activities, confirmation or friends, I am on the soccer field or cross country tracks supporting my young men.
Between having a full time job and managing our household I try to find time for volunteering, it is my way of saying, Thank You Lord for my many blessings. I started volunteering 8 years ago on the fund raising committee at my son’s primary school while being a catechist at our parish. I later moved onto running the parish fund raising committee for two years, before joining Educating Athletes this year.
I enjoy meeting new people and my passion is helping others, especially young people. I am a self- motivated team player with the ability to plan, schedule and work with many different personalities.
